The city council approves buying Bergfeld Park
Rudolph Bergfeld set aside the land for Bergfeld Park in a 1906 plat and deeded it to the city in 1909, on condition that park work begin within six months.
When the deadline passed, he offered to sell the land for $4,000.
The city council approved the purchase on June 21, 1913.
