People’s Bank raises a 15-story tower

People’s Bank, established in 1896, built its 15-story Art Deco high-rise at the northwest corner of North College Avenue and West Erwin Street in 1932, after a 1930 fire partially destroyed the building that had occupied the site.
Note
The city’s National Register documentation says People’s National Bank “is thought to date to 1896 or 1897.”
