The Douglas Addition, the first with a park and curving streets
The Douglas Addition was the first known subdivision in Tyler to include a dedicated park and curving streets instead of the standard grid, though most of it did not develop until the 1930s.
Note
The plat is not dated; the passage sits among 19th-century plats.
