The Tyler Trojans join the East Texas League
In 1924 Tyler businessmen joined the East Texas League, and the team, named the Trojans, played on and off until 1955.
A WPA ballpark at the fairgrounds was finished in 1941 but not used until after the war.

The Trojan's continued to play until 1955 when waning interest and problems within the league brought about its demise
