Budding roses on dog-rose stock, called a first for local nurserymen
Tyler-area nurserymen performed the first successful rose budding on “dog rose” stock, which greatly increased the varieties that could be grown, the Rose Garden’s National Register nomination says.
Note
The first is not dated or tied to a place; the nomination cites an unpublished 2011 slide-show script by Sam C. Kidd.
